Frequently Asked Questions
What areas do you cover?
I’m based in Newmarket and cover the town and surrounding villages. If you’re unsure, just get in touch and I’ll let you know if I can reach you.
How many dogs do you walk at once?
I walk a maximum of 4 dogs in a group to keep things safe and manageable. I also offer solo walks if your dog prefers one-to-one attention.
How long are the walks?
Solo walks are 30 or 60 minutes, and group walks are usually 60 minutes. Walk times don’t include pick-up or drop-off — your dog will always get the full time outside.
What if the weather is bad?
Walks go ahead in most weather (dogs love their exercise whatever the season!). If conditions are unsafe (like extreme heat or ice), I’ll adjust with shorter toilet breaks or reschedule, always keeping your dog’s welfare first.
Are you insured?
Yes, I am fully insured with PPAW for public liability and pet care, giving you peace of mind.
Are you trained in emergencies?
Yes — I am Dog First Aid trained, so I can act quickly and calmly if anything happens on a walk.
Do you do puppy visits or check-ins?
Yes! I offer 20–30 minute home visits for puppies, older dogs, or dogs that just need a toilet break, food, and some company.
Do you walk un-neutered dogs?
Yes, as long as they are friendly with other dogs and under control. Females in season will need solo walks only.
What about recall and safety?
Dogs are kept on lead unless you’ve given written permission for off-lead walks, and only in safe areas where recall is reliable.
How do you transport dogs?
If pick-up and drop-off is needed, dogs travel in my safely fitted van with individual crates for comfort and security.
What happens if I need to cancel?
I understand things change! Please give at least 24 hours’ notice where possible. Short-notice cancellations may be charged.
How do I pay?
Payments can be made via bank transfer or cash. Regular customers often prefer weekly or monthly payments.
